Surviving Eclipse Season

Welcome back to the Essential Astrocast.

I am your host, Veronica Perretti, and
this is the podcast that you listen

to when you want to know what's going
on up in the heavens so that you can

dictate your fate down here on Earth.

So I have not been with
you since July 31st.

That is crazy.

It's been over a month.

Apologies as always when I go
missing in action unintentionally.

In that time, we did have a lovely
cosmic conversation though, so make

sure that you're on my email list.

You can go to my website
veronicaperretti.com

and sign up for the email list, and
you will always know when we're having

Cosmic Conversation, which is my monthly
free astrology gathering on Zoom.

We talk about whatever is
going on in the heavens.

Ask whatever questions you
want, whether it's about general

astrology or your personal chart.

I love sharing, and we have such
a nice community of women that

comes tog- come together for that.

So anyway, onto what's happening now.

You have just survived eclipse season.

Congratulations.

We've made it.

So we're almost at the end here with the
new moon coming next week, but I wanna

just take a moment to take a breath

and check in with where we have been.

We are now in Virgo season.

Virgo season is the time of
separating the wheat from the chaff.

It is the time of assimilating what
is nourishing you and releasing

what is toxic, unnecessary, or
just dead weight dragging you down.

And there's a lot of releasing
happening right now because these

eclipses were so much about release.

The first one was August 12th.

That was the new moon solar
eclipse at 20 degrees of Leo.

This was the second of
this series of eclipses.

So for a year and a half at a
time, we have the nodes in a sign.

So the nodes were in the sign of Virgo
and Pisces for a year and a half.

They just recently moved into
the signs of Leo and Aquarius

The eclipses happen when a new moon
or full moon occurs near the nodes

within a certain number of degrees.

So you can have an eclipse, as we just
did on August 28th, with the new moon

or the full moon, as it were, in a
different set of signs than the nodes.

It's just that the nodes are
very nearby in that next sign.

So August 12th was the beginning, or
close to the beginning, of this new

cycle of eclipses that we're having
over this two-year period - with the

eclipses occurring in Leo and Aquarius.

So if you're a Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio,
or Taurus, the fixed signs, they're

gonna really feel this set of eclipses.

If you have planets in those
signs, you might be feeling

these eclipses more intensely.

So this particular one on August 12th was
a new moon solar eclipse at twenty degrees

of Leo, which was visible for many humans,
but not here, not where I live at least.

But for many people, it was
visible across the planet.

And we noticed that this
eclipse season was very intense.

This new moon solar eclipse
came with-- near the South Node.

So even though it's a new moon, and
new moons are generally about starting

something new, setting intentions to carry
us forward, there was a release element

to this because it was with the South Node
I would say it was about assimilation.

It was about assimilating
what you wanna take with you

and releasing what you don't.

And this was the first- second
in the series, but the first with

the nodes now in Leo and Aquarius.

So it's a new energy that we're working
with, and we're figuring it out.

We're figuring out what this story
is that's starting to take place

in this part of our chart -the Leo
and Aquarius parts of our chart.

This August 12th eclipse, New Moon
solar eclipse, was sort of a friendly

one, at least in my experience.

Don't, throw your phone at the wall right
now . I know not everyone felt that way.

But what was interesting about it
was that we had a mystic rectangle,

and mystic rectangles are a
formation of the planets or energetic

bodies that often bring clarity.

And so we had a mystic rectangle
that formed with Mercury and

Venus and Neptune and Pluto.

Mercury and Venus are two of the planets
of what I like to call the relating

planets: Mercury, Venus, and Mars.

They help us relate to
each other and ourselves.

Mercury communication, Venus
is love and what we value -our

money, our time, our resources.

So Mercury and Venus working
with Neptune and Pluto, which

are planets of transcendence…

It was really interesting.

You probably had a lot of eye-opening
stuff happen around that August 12th

eclipse, and it brought clarity.

It also brought clarity because we had the
basket of hope that we talked about a lot

last month, which had perfected on July
19th, which included Neptune and Pluto.

So Neptune, Pluto, Uranus are creating
what I'm calling the magic triangle

that we're working with twenty
twenty-five through twenty twenty-eight.

It's y- working with two of those planets.

But in general, we had
a big month of July.

July was one of the biggest months of
astrology we're gonna have all year,

followed by another big month, August.

But July was really, like,
once-in-a-lifetime astrology.

So because we had that formation, the
basket of hope that I'm calling it form

or Barbose Basket as many call it because
that was the astrologer who predicted

it or first saw it many years ago.

There was a certain
clarity that was coming.

There was a certain feeling
of things dropping into place.

You know, I think of the
basket of hope as like what…

It's a vessel.

You know, there's another astrologer
Catherine, who does an amazing

job of talking about this and I'm
spacing on her last name but I'll

look it up for you right now.

And she does a great job
talking about it as a vessel.

And I like to think of it as a basket
and what are you putting in the basket?

Whatever you put in the basket
is going to get amplified.

It's going to get supercharged.

But there's a little bit of a power
struggle that happened in July because the

top of that basket, the rim of the basket
was created by Jupiter opposite Leo.

And Jupiter opposite Leo
was a big power struggle.

So Jupiter opposite Leo was amplifying
the resources Pluto, but also the greed,

also feelings of jealousy, feelings of

Deep-seated, perhaps agitation,
paranoia, fears, survival

instincts that were cropping up.

And so we had to work through
that stuff to put the things

we want in our basket of hope.

So it's been a big summer.

It's been a really big summer,
and it's shifted a lot of

things for really all of us.

I don't know anyone who isn't
having some big stuff happening

in their life right now.

It might be good stuff,
but it's big stuff.

And for me personally, these
eclipses were very positive.

They really supercharged and pushed
forward a lot of things that I was working

on in ways that surpassed my expectation.

And I always say eclipses are for
opening your ears, opening your eyes,

taking in the messages, allowing
yourself to be open and receptive.

The intention that I set every eclipse
season, because we don't do intention

setting, we don't do manifesting or ritual
work during eclipse season because we

allow the eclipses to do that work for us.

The magic is already happening.

It is…

We are the only planet that we know of in
the universe that experiences eclipses.

That is magic.

So we don't have to bring the magic.

The magic is already happening.

And so with eclipses, my intention is
always allow me to be open and receptive

to what the universe has in store for
me, to what the universe wants me to see.

When you open yourself up like that, then
you can move from a place of responding

to that new information, responding
to those opportunities that crop up.

So as you know, I always
say you dictate your fate.

That's my motto.

But part of dictating your fate
is understanding when it's time To

speak your truth and be loud, and
understanding when it's time to get quiet.

And make sure that you're attuned
and tuned in so that you can get the

messages, get the clues, and allow
yourself to be open and receptive.

So with that, we had that new moon
solar eclipse at 20 degrees Leo, which I

thought was actually quite a friendly one.

Not everyone experienced that,
but again, it did bring clarity.

Even if it was rough, it brought
clarity for you, I am sure of that.

The second eclipse, 'cause
eclipses generally come in pairs.

Sometimes we get three, even
once in a, pardon the expression,

blue moon, we get four.

But it's very unusual.

Usually we get two.

Second eclipse was August 28th, full moon
lunar eclipse at four degrees of Pisces.

So this is a full moon, meaning that
the sun was in Virgo at four degrees

opposite the moon at four degrees Pisces.

This one had the sun right on my
natal moon, so I felt this one deeply.

Now, this one is a different story.

This one is the end of a cycle.

We've had the nodes in
Virgo-Pisces for a year and a half.

They're no longer there.

They're starting their
journey in Leo and Aquarius.

But because this one happened
early degrees of Pisces, it

still was close to that node.

But this one, we didn't
have a mystic rectangle.

No.

We had a T square.

T squares are friction.

They are catalysts for change.

So this one was a full moon.

Sun sitting in Virgo opposite
the moon sitting in Pisces.

The moon was conjunct the
north node in Pisces…

Or I'm sorry, the north node in Aquarius,
and the sun was conjunct the south node.

They were squaring Uranus.

Now, Uranus is another transcendent
planet, another outer planet, that

encourages us to feel liberation The
breakdown that leads to the breakthrough.

So we are inviting in changes with
this eclipse, and there was a lot of

releasing because it was a full moon
which initiates a period of release.

It is a period of fullness when we
can express our gratitude for all

that we have - all the blessings we
received but then from that place

of gratitude, we are allowed…

not allowed, but we have the
feeling of I have something to

give so I can let go of something.

So full moons initiate release;
they're not the time of-of like the

highest experience of release: That's
right before the new moon, but they

initiate that period of release.

But because this one was square
Uranus, there was something that

very clearly had to be released,
very clearly had to be let go.

So this one is the second to last
in a series The last one will be

February of twenty twenty seven What’s
really interesting about that one is

that it will also be square Uranus
Because Uranus is about to retrograde.

So expect more in February Twenty
Seven Of what you are seeing right

now With this August 28th Full Moon
Lunar Eclipse In Pisces Something

that we must talk about Is
that we lost a lot of legends

Dolly Parton Queen of them all

Dolly Parton, I took a look at
her chart and that eclipse was

right on her nodes of fate.

Often people leave during eclipses because
they are time of release or of speeding

up what's already happening, or simply
putting us in the path of our destiny.

And from my understanding from talking
to various psychics and mediums is

that we have several opportunities
there to exit this physical form -and

those, exits like exits on the highway-
there's only certain times that are

available to us and our soul, our
spirit chooses when it's the right time.

So having the eclipse right on Dolly's
nodes made it the right time for her.

And that's very common for people to
leave this realm during eclipse season,

especially for people that are notable.

In ancient times, when an eclipse was
occurring over a particular place, they

expected the fall of the king because
there was an obscuring of the light.

The king is associated with the sun.

The sun is associated with royalty.

The sun is associated with our will,
our determination, our leadership

our, raison d'être, why we are here.

So with that, when we have a solar
eclipse it was often associated

with someone notable leaving.

So we find that Eclipse Season
generally brings exits of notable

people for us as a collective.

But what I think is so fascinating
about this one is that I saw another

astrologer speak about how we're
losing the mothers this eclipse cycle.

And we lost Dolly who did so
much amazing philanthropic

work, was humanitarian, was…

Someone said one of one, you know, totally
one hundred percent unique in every way.

Capricorn stellium.

So, you know Capricorns, they
are the CEOs of the Zodiac.

They love to hold the vision for everyone
else to get behind and work toward.

So that was Dolly, and then
we lost Gloria Steinem.

And Gloria Steinem very different
- different path in life but getting to

the same place which is working for
the rights of other people, working

to make sure that other people are
treated with dignity and respect.

So we lost two huge legends particularly
legends who have done so much for the

rest of us, who have really impacted
many, many, many humans on this earth.

And you know, we can sit here and get
into the weeds of the astrology of

each of their charts which I might
go ahead and do in an Instagram

video cause that is really fun to do.

But from a deeper perspective or maybe
from a more broad perspective or from

a, you know, taking the aerial view
perspective which is very Aquarian

and we have the north node in Aquarius
which is the sign of the humanitarian,

the sign of the social activist.

It's interesting to me that this
eclipse season-- This first eclipse

season that we're having with the
North Node in Aquarius in nineteen

years that these two women are leaving

And they are in my opinion saying,
"You guys it's time for you to step up.

It's time for you to pick up the
torch and carry it forward as a

community, as a collective, as human
beings inhabiting this planet."

You know there's so much news going on.

There's so many stories happening.

One of the things that I didn't even
see it, but my husband alerted me

to it is that the UN said this week
that climate change is irreversible.

And at this point we just have to
mitigate any further harm and to me that

was quintessential eclipse story right?

We have fast-tracked our own demise
as a species and these people

were giants in the collective

Them leaving at this time with the North
Node in Aquarius is saying, "Hey, it's

time for you guys to pick up the torch."

Um, there is a famous saying, and I'm
not sure who said it first, but we

are the people we've been waiting for.

We are the saviors we've been waiting for.

I don't think that's the exact
quote, but you get the gist.

So it's time to figure out what
is your work, what is your work

in this moment on this planet?

Eclipses encourage us to open our
ears, open our eyes, and pay attention

to the messages and the hints as
to what is the path of our destiny.

What is the next right step?

And then you have to make
the choice to take that step.

So this is an invitation.

Now we're in Virgo season, as I said,
about to have a new moon, and the new

moon will kick out eclipse season.

So the new moon will be on Thursday,
September 10th, and that's a big day.

It's gonna be a new moon
at 18 degrees of Virgo.

It's going to be sextiling
Canc- Mars in Cancer.

Mars is in an interesting
position because Mars is in a

sign that he is not so happy in.

He is in Cancer.

Mars in Cancer struggles.

So if you've been struggling emotionally,
if you've been struggling with how to move

forward, if you've been struggling with
inertia, if you've been struggling with

feeling stuck whether it's internally or
being - feeling stuck because of external

forces, this is probably Mars in Cancer.

Because Mars in Cancer, he just doesn't
really know how to operate there.

He can get really protective.

He can get a little bit jealous.

He can get a little
like, "Ooh, this is mine.

Don't take my toys.

I'm not sharing," you know?

He can be a little bit like that in Cancer

He can also, on the other hand,
the high vibration of Mars in

Cancer, he can have great empathy.

And Mars is not a planet that
works with empathy very often.

So Mars in Cancer can have empathy.

Mars in Cancer can have great
intuition, great gut instinct.

So if you lean into the part of yourself
that-- The part of your brain that

houses compassion, the part of your
brain that connects to your instinct,

your intuition, your subconscious, this
Mars in Cancer might not be so bad.

This Mars in Cancer might help
you follow your feelings to

where you need to go next.

We just had Mars square Saturn
this past week the week that

we're in as I'm recording.

I'm recording this on September fourth,
Friday, Venus' day, and we had Mars

square Saturn on September first,
and that was the opening square of

their conjunction on April nineteenth,
twenty-twenty six, so this year.

So think back to April
nineteenth and think, "Hey,

what was going on at that time?

Was there something that was being seeded,
something that was planted Ap- around

April nineteenth, twenty-twenty six?"

This is the opening square of that.

And so where do I need to slow down?

Where do I need a little more discipline?

Where do I need to get focused?

Because Mars and Saturn together, it's
a transit that people really dislike

But I like it because as a very Marsy
person, that Saturn joining with Mars.

Saturn is the restraint, the
restriction, the boundaries, the rules.

Mars is the ability to get up and
go - the motivation, the drive,

the will, the determination.

When they come together, it's like okay
how do we move forward with discipline?

How do we move forward with structure?

How do we move forward with discernment?

But the opening square might be
bringing up some feelings of stuckness.

So that could be stuckness
again from within.

Mars is in Cancer so it's very emotional.

It could be an internal feeling
or that could be stuckness from

some external forcing function.

Nonetheless if you notice that you're
feeling stuck just sit with it trust

your instincts trust your intuition
it's gonna pass these transits are not

forever everything is temporary but
just pay attention what came up this

week where did you feel bound in where
did you feel frustrated where did you

feel like i'm not being able to run
free And just pay attention to that.

So now we have this new moon coming This
new moon coming on the 10th, it's going

to be in a sextile to Mars in cancer.

So again he's emotional but if you move
from intuition this might be really useful

this might be a really helpful new moon
To get you moving on that next right step,

that the eclipses have opened up to you.

It's also coming with Mercury
at 29 degrees of Virgo.

So Mercury is in Virgo now and
Mercury loves to be in Virgo,

its absolute favorite sign.

So if you've got some like serious
work to do, like I just did a bunch

of contracts and agreements, and I'm
gonna go through and do some finance

stuff, that is the kind of work
that mercury in Virgo is so good at.

And so the details - the devil is in
the details with Mercury in Virgo.

So if you've got some details to get
to them before Mercury is out of Virgo.

Mercury will be moving into Libra at
12:21 PM Eastern Time on September 10th.

When Mercury moves into Libra he's gonna
be much more interested in connecting,

particularly connecting one-on-one.

Great for partnership, great
for working with people.

So this new moon happening with Mercury
exalted at 29 degrees of Virgo, it's

like there is going to be some clarity.

Virgo is about the details.

Virgo is about the systems
though creating order.

So if there's something that you
need to bring some order to, this

new moon might help you do it.

It's also bringing in with it another
mystic rectangle, which is so amazing.

We have so many mystic rectangles
happening, and mystic rectangles

I love because they bring clarity.

So mystic rectangle is forming
between the nodes and Venus

opposite Chiron So this, Virgo is
a sign that yes, it loves grammar.

It loves spreadsheets.

It loves devotion to a
ritual - whatever that ritual is.

That ritual can be your
meditation practice.

That ritual can be your bedtime ritual.

That ritual can be the way
you enter your home each day.

But Virgo loves a ritual,
loves devotion to a ritual.

So Virgo being-- You know, this
new moon in Virgo being the end of

eclipse season, kicking out eclipse
season, having its ruler Mercury

in its sign at twenty-nine degrees
bringing with it this mystic rectangle.

I just feel like this new moon's gonna
help us really crystallize what we need

to do next, what action we need to take.

Now Venus is opposite
Chiron on the same day.

Now Venus is going to move
into Scorpio that day.

This is September tenth and as
soon as she moves into Scorpio,

she's gonna perfect her opposition
to Chiron at zero degrees Taurus.

Chiron is newly in Taurus this year.

He's currently retrograde.

He's moving back into the late degrees
of Aries for a little bit but before he

retrogrades into Aries, she's gonna catch
him and Vir-- Venus opposite Chiron is

going to be an opportunity for you to
work with healing some very deep stuff.

Now speaking of finances, Venus in
Scorpio loves finances and investments.

But we are in Mercur-- We are in
Venus Retroshade which means that we

are in pre-retrograde shadow of Venus
retrograde which is coming up soon and

she is bringing a lot of things to our
awareness whether it be about money,

whether it be about relationships, whether
it be about what's important to you.

So pay attention to those things
as we move into September, and

as Venus moves into Scorpio.

She will retrograde on October 3rd.

But again, we're getting little
hints of what that Venus retrograde

is gonna be about for us.

The same day, September 10th -again
I told you it's a really big day- we

will have Mercury move into Libra, as I
mentioned moving out of ritual oriented

Virgo and into social and friendly Libra.

Um, so that's a big shift that day.

As the eclipse season ends
we shift a lot of the energy.

Another piece of that puzzle
is that Uranus is stationed to

retrog- retrograde that day.

Now Uranus retrograde not a big deal:
the outer planets spend half the year

retrograde , but we feel them most
intensely on the day that they station.

So we will…

Or, you know, the five days
before, the five days after.

So Uranus has been kicking up stuff.

Uranus squared that eclipse that we had
on August 28th brought us a lot of change.

Uranus stationing as we kick out
eclipse season, as we have this new

moon, the changes that are occurring
will really crystallize on this day

So that's what I have for you.

It's a lot and hopefully I will be able
to be more consistently here on the

mic now that we are getting into the
fall although fall is really busy for

us because my son will be going back to
school which will make life a lot easier.

And I am really excited for this
astrology that we have ahead.

With that, I also want to mention
that we have another cosmic

conversation coming up soon um, so
make sure that you sign up for it.

You can go over to my site
and sign up for the one that's

coming up on September 10th.

The day everything is shifting
I will have Cosmic Conversation.

I think that's the-- We're doing it
on Thursdays now, that's a new thing.

We're testing it out seeing how it
goes, but go over to my site and

sign up for Cosmic Conversation and
hopefully I will see you on Zoom that

day, September 10th for the new moon.

Since we'll be together we can do
a little intention setting and I'll

see you then and hopefully I will
talk to you soon here on the mic and

as always you know where to find me.

You can come on over to my
email list veronicaperetti.com

and you can also find me on Instagram.

I'm private but you can request to
follow and I'm gonna probably do a little

Instagram video on Gloria Steinem's chart
today or tomorrow so stay tuned for that.

All right, I will talk to you soon.

Bye
