Lunar Eclipse brings intuitive changes

Welcome back to The Essential Astro Cast.

I'm your host, Veronica Perretti,
and this is the podcast you listen

to when you want to know what's going
on up in the heavens so that you can

dictate your fate down here on Earth.

Welcome to Eclipse season.

We had a little teaser of it last week.

I started to tell you about the upcoming
lunar eclipse that's occurring this week.

But today we're gonna get into
the lunar eclipse That is the

main event for this week, and
it's gonna take us into next week.

So let's get our bearings first.

We are in Virgo season.

An eclipse occurs when a new or a full
moon happens at or near the nodes of fate.

This will be a total lunar eclipse.

It's a full moon occurring near the nodes
of fate, very close to the nodes of fate,

and therefore it is a total lunar eclipse.

It won't be visible in the States or in
South America, but it will be visible on.

Four different continents.

So most of the world, it'll be
visible in Australia, Asia, Africa,

and partial visibility in Europe.

So you will definitely feel this
eclipse, even though you won't

be seeing the lunar eclipse.

So a reminder that when we
have a lunar eclipse, it means

that we have a full moon.

That is happening near the node.

The nodes are these imaginary
points where the ecliptic.

And the lunar orbit meet.

So the ecliptic is this
imaginary band around the earth.

It is the apparent path of the sun
because of course we know that we

are rotating the sun, but from an
astrological perspective, earth is always

at the center because that is our home.

So it is the apparent path around
the sun that is the ecliptic.

And when we have the lunar orbit intersect
with the ecliptic, that happens in two

spots, and those are where the nodes are.

So currently we have the north
node in Pisces and the south node

in Virgo, and the sun is in Virgo,
approaching that south node.

And the moon will be in the opposing
sign of Pisces, close to that north node.

So when we have the
nodes situated like this.

We're going to be letting go of
some of the Virgo themes and moving

towards some of the Pisces themes.

Now, some astrologers will be
like, just go to the north node.

Let go of the south node.

But the nodes are a polarity.

They work on a push pull
just like full moons.

And I love this polarity
of Virgo and Pisces.

So whenever I'm working with a
full moon or the nodes, anything

happening in opposition, there's
going to have to be some compromise.

There's going to have to be
a little push, a little pull.

There might be some meeting in
the middle, but there certainly is

some attention given to the south
node as well as the north node.

So the north node is symbolized as the
head of a dragon, and the south node is

the tail of the dragon in Vedic mythology.

So we're always moving toward that hungry
north node, but it never gets filled up.

Because it is severed
from its stomach, right?

So we have to feed both.

We have to fuel both.

We have to give attention to both sides.

So this full moon, lunar eclipse is
really interesting because obviously

there's a lot happening in the world.

Obviously we have a lot of new energy
that we've been working with this summer.

We just had Saturn reenter Pisces.

So Saturn has been in Pisces
for about three years.

He entered Aries earlier this year.

It was a big, monumental, banner
thing that we talked about here.

And now Saturn has retrograded back
into the last degrees of Pisces, and

he'll be there for a little while.

And of course he will come back to Aries
and he will spend three years in Aries.

And we have a lot of work
to do with Saturn in Aries.

But for the next few months, Saturn and
Pisces will be wrapping up old stories

for you, helping you release structures
that might no longer be supporting you.

Helping you metabolize and process some
old traumas, karmas, things that are

coming up from the subconscious Saturn.

And Pisces was trying to bring
some containment to the vastness.

That is Pisces.

Pisces is the collective consciousness.

It's also our connection
to our subconscious.

I always think of Pisces as the two fish.

Of course, it's symbolized by the two fish
moving in equal and opposite directions.

And so one fish is moving toward our
subconscious, our shadow self, and

one fish is moving toward our highest
self and they are connected by a

string, so they're never disconnected.

And therefore we have to dive into the
depths of the shadow to reach the light,

which is our highest self, and that is
very similar to the vibe of eclipses.

Eclipses are when the light of
the moon, if it's a lunar eclipse,

or the light of the sun, if it's
a solar eclipse, is obscured.

So our luminaries are
not operating normally.

That's why we often say with Eclipse
season that you don't manifest.

You don't do ritual work.

You sit back, relax, and pay attention to
what the universe puts on your doorstep.

It doesn't mean that
you don't take action.

Because things are gonna happen.

People are gonna say things, opportunities
are gonna come up, and you're gonna

have an opportunity to choose what
to do about that information or that

opportunity, or in that relationship.

So it doesn't mean that we
don't take action, it just means

that we don't force our agenda.

We allow what is unfolding to unfold.

And then we respond appropriately.

So this particular lunar
eclipse feels very active to me.

It is in virgo and Pisces
and Virgo is the doer.

Virgo likes to get things done, so
if Pisces is associated with sleep

and meditation and dreams, Virgo is
associated with lists and spreadsheets

and devotion to the mundane.

And that might seem boring, but it's not.

That devotion to showing up on your
meditation cushion every day is what

gives you the opportunity to have
those glimpses of enlightenment.

The enlightenment is the
Pisces part of the chart.

The devotion to the ritual is
the Virgo part of the chart.

They work together.

So this eclipse we're seeing how.

What we've been showing up for, the
rituals, the structures, the routines,

what they are offering us, how it's
going and if it needs to be adjusted.

So maybe you've been feeling like.

This thing isn't working for me anymore.

Maybe it's a relationship.

Maybe it's a friendship.

Maybe it is a job.

Maybe it is just your workout routine.

I don't know.

It depends on what's happening
in your chart where this

is happening in your chart.

You can take a look at your chart
and see where the Virgo and Pisces

houses land, but if there's something
that's been nagging at you like this

has gotta change, something just
doesn't, it's not aligning with my

highest self, with my highest good.

It's just not aligning
with my vibe right now.

Maybe it's just inexplicable, it's
something intuitive, like this

is just not aligning with how I
wanna feel at this moment in time.

This eclipse could be a time where
you're invited to make the change.

Sometimes eclipses hasten, they speed
up whatever is already happening.

Sometimes eclipses are cosmic course
correctors, as my friend Catherine Urban

says, and they offer you a new perspective
that you just wouldn't have had before.

Because of course, the
light is being obscured.

That means that we are
seeing what's in the shadows.

When the light of the full moon is
obscured, the stars around that full

moon are gonna shine a lot brighter.

So we're gonna see what's
around that full moon.

Same thing in your own life.

When the light or the way you normally
see things is obscured, you will be able

to see what was once in your subconscious
or in your unconscious field, so pay

attention to what shows up because it
might be something that you need to

see and you weren't able to see before.

What's really nice about this
particular eclipse is that it's in a

trine to Jupiter and that trying to
Jupiter is helpful because Jupiter is.

The ruler, the traditional
ruler of Pisces.

So it's blessing the moon, the
full moon in this lunar eclipse.

And it's kind of coordinating with
the moon because Jupiter is the ruler

of Pisces and the moon is in Pisces,
but the moon is the ruler of cancer,

which is where Jupiter is right now.

So they're working together, they're
collaborating and coordinating.

So I really like this eclipse.

Okay.

And even though I often say eclipses
are first sitting back, relaxing,

seeing what comes to you, you know,
allow yourself to be taken into the

vortex of energy that is eclipse season.

Because Eclipse season can feel like
you're just in this vortex and don't

really know what up and down is.

You just have to ride it out.

And while I often feel that way, and
I do feel that way, there's something

about this particular one that
feels like a lot of shifts are gonna

happen, and it feels like a lot of
us are going to be taking action in

response to the messages that we get.

Those messages might be from
other people in our life.

It might be from the external
world, but those messages might

be from your internal world.

Those messages might be your intuition,
your inner knowing, because Pisces

is associated with our intuition and
our subconscious and what is hidden.

So with that I do like this lunar eclipse.

I do think it's an intense one.

It's at 15 degrees of Pisces.

It is inviting us to move toward
spirit, move toward our intuition,

move toward what feels in
alignment with our highest self.

Allow yourself to go into
the depths of the unknown.

Allow yourself to go deep into the
subconscious or the unconscious.

The South node in Virgo.

Part of this eclipse is offering us
the opportunity to release control,

to surrender to the moment, to allow
yourself to be in flow and not limited

by your schedule, and be open to
adapt because these are mutable signs.

Pisces and Virgo, along
with Sagittarius and Gemini.

Those are the mutable signs.

Those are the signs that transition
us from one season to the next.

They transition us from the end of one
thing into the beginning of the next.

They are inherently the times of
year where we shift and move and

change based on the circumstances.

It is Virgo season right now.

Your routine is changing.

There's a back to school energy.

Even if you don't have young children,
there's a feeling of, oh, back to school.

I wanna get school supplies.

I always think of.

You've got mail this time of year,
which is my all time favorite movie

and in you've got mail He, Tom
Hanks says, if I knew your name

and address, I would send you a
bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils.

That is the energy of Virgo season,
getting your sharpened pencils in a row,

and so there is an energy of embracing
the change these points in the year.

At the end of a season, we
embrace the change of what is

to come and we prepare for it.

Virgo, as I said last week,
is the sign of preparedness.

So we're preparing for the darker months.

We're preparing for the new routine.

We're preparing for what comes next as
we enter the last quarter of the year.

So with that, give yourself an
opportunity to embrace the change,

embrace the shifting routine.

Embrace the shifting ritual, but
let the eclipses show you where

the existing routine, the existing
ritual, the existing structure is

just no longer doing it for you.

And it might be that you just need to
scratch it and start something fresh, or

maybe you just make a few little tweaks.

Virgo loves to make tweaks for
the sake of achieving excellence.

With that.

A caveat to everything I'm saying.

Virgo has a deserved

stereotype of being a perfectionist.

The Virgo archetype can get
stuck in analysis paralysis.

So I want you to, with this eclipse,
resist and release the urge to get

it right, resist and release the
urge to make it absolutely perfect.

One of the things I often say to
myself is everything is an experiment.

Very few things in life are permanent.

In fact, nothing is because all of
us will one day move on from this

embodiment, so nothing is permanent.

Therefore, everything is an experiment.

So it's okay if you shift something.

If you make a change and it's not quite
right, you can always change it again.

Embrace the adaptability,
embrace the flexibility.

One of the things that I really like
that's in support of this full moon

lunar eclipse is this Mercury Square
Uranus that we're having today.

As I'm recording, this
is September 3rd, 2025.

As I'm recording and something
about that Mercury Square, Uranus

feels like it is helping us.

Really catch those sparks, those ideas,
those moments of inspiration, and it's

helping us put the logistical planning in
place to make the changes we need to make.

Next week, mercury will join with the sun,
which is going to bring even more clarity.

So the ideas and the inspirations and
the things that hit this week, we're

going to get more clarity on them next
week when we have the Mercury cazimi, and

Mercury is the ruling planet of Virgo.

The other piece of the puzzle, as
I said, is that Jupiter is twinning

the moon for this lunar eclipse.

But we also have Mars squaring Jupiter
this week, and Mars squaring Jupiter.

It might make you feel like you just
have to do the thing instead of waiting.

And while that might be impulsive
and maybe a little bit uncomfortable,

it's also encouraging us to trust
our gut and so much of this eclipse.

Because it's pushing our energy
toward that piscean part of the chart

is about trusting your intuition,
following your heart, really following

the feeling that you're having.

So even if it doesn't feel
practical or logical, there might

be something that you're like, I
just gotta follow this feeling.

So.

With that, I hope you have
a wonderful, wonderful lunar

eclipse, this full moon in Pisces.

I will be back with you next week.

I am shifting my schedules and
routines and experimenting myself,

so we will be having cosmic
conversation on Friday the 12th.

It's going to be at.

Noon, so noon Eastern time.

So I hope you can join us.

You can go to my website,
veronicaperretti.com/events

and save your seat for
cosmic conversation.

It is entirely free.

It is a beautiful community
of women that come together.

You don't have to be a woman to come.

It just happens to be the only
women do come, and we join together

and we talk about astrology.

And I would love to have you there.

We're gonna talk about Taylor and
Travis's charts, as I mentioned last week.

If you haven't listened to last week,
go back and listen to it 'cause I talk

about Taylor and Travis's engagement.

Both of them are in their Jupiter return.

Jupiter is in cancer right now.

Jupiter's exalted in cancer,
which is one of the reasons I

really like the vibes of Jupiter.

Talking to the moon this week
for this full moon lunar eclipse.

And you know, other things,
I'm just percolating.

I'm feeling myself, feel inspired again
around creating and what I'm creating in

my business and what offerings I have for
you when it comes to astrology and yoga.

So stay tuned on all of that.

It's in the incubation period,
but will be unveiled as we move

through and out of Eclipse season.

So if you're not on my mailing
list, make sure you get on there.

You can go to my website,
veronicaperretti.com,

and right there on the homepage you
can sign up for my email community.

And that's it.

I hope you have a wonderful week,
and I will talk to you next week.

Bye bye.
