Taylor Engaged + Eclipse Season is here

Welcome back to the Essential Astro Cast.

I am your host, Veronica Perretti,
and this is the podcast you listen

to when you want to know what's going
on up in the heavens so that you can

dictate your fate down here on earth.

So this is my fourth time trying
to record the podcast this week,

and as you know, there hasn't
been a podcast in a little bit.

It has been, um.

A little bit crazy over here.

Life has been lifeing, but I want
to get into the most important news,

which is of course, Taylor and Travis.

So I'm glad that I actually have
to record this podcast a little

bit late because I can clue you
in on what's going on with them.

So Taylor and Travis are both in the
midst of what we call the Jupiter return.

So this means that after 12 years,
you have Jupiter coming back to the

same spot where it was in the sky.

The day you were born.

So every 12 years you have
Jupiter return to that spot.

So because we're born, we are zero
years old, you have a Jupiter return

at 11, and then 12 years later
and 12 years later, and so on.

So both Taylor and Travis are born in
1989, so they're both 35 years old and

they are having their Jupiter return.

What is interesting about this is that.

Jupiter's a really prominent planet.

In Taylor Swift's chart, she has Jupiter
conjunct her moon, and that is definitely

a signature of someone who is an artist.

A deep feeler because it's in cancer.

Someone that is really going to have.

Vast emotional capacity.

So that's what we see with Taylor here.

Travis's dad confirmed that he
popped the question on August 10th.

Unfortunately, I have not
been on the mic to tell you.

I think I told you a few times before
I took an unexpected hiatus that we

would have the Venus Jupiter conjunction
really early in the morning on the 12th.

So we were feeling that venous
Jupiter conjunction coming into

fruition on the 10th and the 11th.

And we felt a few days after too.

And you might think back to your own
life, what was going on a couple weeks

ago around August 12th, and there might
have been small blessings coming in.

There might have been little
ways that people were showing

up for you, particularly women.

'cause Venus rules, women.

Venus and Jupiter are the two benefics.

They're the brightest
stars in the night sky.

So we love when Venus and Jupiter get
together each year, it's considered

one of the most, harmonious aspects.

It's really a time where it's easy
to find common ground with people.

And for me personally, I noticed I was.

Having a lot of wonderful interactions
with women in my neighborhood.

I got to meet a few different people
that I hadn't met before, and it just,

you know, it brought some nice little
moments of, what do they say on TikTok?

The glimmers, those moments of
like, oh, I'm so grateful for this.

I'm so grateful for this life.

I'm so grateful for this moment.

I'm so grateful for this
person showing up today.

He popped the question at
a very auspicious time.

My guess is he does not have an
astrologer, but he was in alignment with

the Venus Jupiter conjunction, and that's
because Travis is a Venus ruled guy.

He is a Libra, so his ruler is Venus.

So he must have just been intuitively
feeling the vibes and knew that Venus.

And Jupiter were coming together and felt
that overwhelming gratitude and desire

to make something beautiful for Taylor.

So this is really exciting.

Of course, there are so many other
things going on in the world, and I

know not everybody is a swifty, but I
think it is nice to have these little

pockets of escapism in this very, very
difficult, difficult time we're living in.

And I love this kind of stuff because
it's a great case study for astrology.

So I hope that is fun for you.

A couple other things I
wanted to mention were that.

Jupiter returns in general are
very important for Taylor Swift.

Her previous Jupiter return was 2013.

That was, she was when she was
on her red tour, and Red was a

really monumental album for her.

It was a big departure from
what she had done previously.

And October, 2001 was her previous
Jupiter return, and that was when

she learned to play the guitar.

So Jupiter returns are really powerful
and prominent for her, so we know if she

stays in the public eye every 12 years
to check in on what Taylor is doing.

Although I don't think we have to
check in on it, I think it's gonna

probably pop up in our newsfeed.

Something else I really was interested
in, in terms of the astrology of their

romance is that they met when Venus was
retrograde a couple of summers ago, so

that was 2023 and that summer we had
this very big Venus retrograde in Leo.

So Venus Retrogrades not
frequently just like Mars.

Those are the two most
powerful retrogrades.

Venus is arguably the toughest,
but they met during that time

and usually I would say don't get
married during Venus retrograde.

Don't make commitments in
relationships in Venus retrograde,

but, they met each other.

They started their courtship,
but they've stayed together.

They've taken a while to get to know each
other and to make this commitment so.

I think that is a good thing.

I noticed that when Taylor decided to
announce to us that they were engaged

with her now very famous Instagram post.

Venus is now back in Leo

. . So there's certainly a Leo signature to
their romance, and every time Venus is

in Leo, we just should check in on this
couple and see what's going on for them.

Earlier this year I mentioned in
one of our cosmic conversations,

which is my free gathering on Zoom.

I host that every other week, and
quick note, it's been off the calendar

the past few weeks because just like
the podcast has been absent, cosmic

conversation has been absent because
I've just had so much going on and I.

I just couldn't manage one more thing.

I was doing minimal viable energy
output, which I recommend you embrace

when things are really tough and
you have a lot going on for me.

Jupiter in Cancer is at the very base of
my chart at the ic, which is the beginning

of the fourth house, which is the house
of home and family, and my focus has

really been on my home life the past few
months, but really the past four weeks.

But luckily things are
easing up a little bit.

Right now we're entering a new chapter.

My son is starting preschool in the next
couple of weeks, so things are shifting.

And speaking of shifts, we will
be shifting cosmic conversation

for September to a new.

Time slot.

So I will be hosting the next
one on September 12th, which is

a Friday at 12:00 PM Eastern.

So head on over to my website,
veronica perretti.com/events.

And on the events tab, you save your seat.

Cosmic conversation is always free.

I do it.

Every two weeks, we are
gonna test out this new time.

Hopefully it works for
more people and we'll see.

And we'll see how September goes.

And if people don't like it, we
can always go back to doing it

Mondays at 5:00 PM Eastern, which
is when we have been doing it.

We will look at Taylor and Travis's
charts together and look at their

synastry and look at how the
transits are impacting them, both

in the next cosmic conversation.

So if you're interested in this
stuff, make sure that you go sign

up there and come to the next one.

Friday the 12th at 12:00 PM Eastern.

Okay, so let's get into what's going on
in the world and how it's impacting you.

And I'm gonna catch you
up because we haven't been

together for about four weeks.

So I wanna just catch you
up on where we've been.

We got through Leo season.

Um, if it felt tough for you, trust
me, it was really tough over here.

We did have that sweetness of Venus,
Jupiter coming together, but we also

have a lot of other tough transits.

You know, we're living with this
Saturn, Neptune in conjunction in Aries.

Saturn is retrograde.

Saturn will be going back
into Pisces on Monday.

So on Monday the first he'll dip back
into Pisces and you might feel a shift.

You might feel that you're in
more of a reflective space.

Saturn will be wrapping up.

Whatever this story is has been for the
past three years of Saturn in Pisces.

I told you at the top of the
year in my workshop and here on

the podcast that my metaphor for
this year is the movie trailer.

This is the big blockbuster movie trailer.

We've got all of these outer planets
moving into new signs, and that is,

in and of itself unusual because
very rarely do we have, nevermind a

year, but a several month, week span
with all the outer planets shifting.

And while Pluto shifted into Aquarius
for the next 20 years, in November

of 2024, that was a big shift
that we were anticipating in 2025.

Within weeks of each other, we had
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

All move into new signs.

So it's pretty unusual and
it's pretty unsettling.

And I wish I could tell you that we're
moving on from all things unsettling,

but we just had a new moon in Virgo,
which has opened up Eclipse season.

So we are officially moving
into the season of the eclipses.

Eclipses occur when a new moon or a full
moon happens near the nodes of fate.

So.

This is a time of year.

It comes every six months that
we often get presented with

what my friend Catherine Urban
calls cosmic course correctors.

This is not a time for manifesting
or pushing your agenda.

It's a time for sitting back and allowing
yourself to be open and willing to

hear the messages from the universe.

And pay attention to what comes up
in your life and any metaphorical

forks in the road that you might see.

So you might have an agenda of,
this is what my fall is gonna look

like, and then something pops up and
you're like, oh, well, maybe not.

So be open and available to
all messages coming through and

allow yourself to be adaptable.

Lucky for us.

It is Virgo season and it is a mutable
sign, Virgo, and when the Sun is in

Virgo, even though Virgo gets a reputation
for being a perfectionist and having

to be in control, and that is true.

Mutable signs teach us
about being adaptable.

They teach us about transitioning
from one season to the next.

So we're transitioning
from summer into fall.

Virgo is the sign of being prepared.

So this is the season where we
take the bounty of the summer.

We take all the fruits, all the
berries, we start to collect

the apples that are coming.

And we preserve them in jars and
cans so that we have them to take us

through the long cold winter months.

So in the middle of January, you can pop
open a can of that strawberry jam and feel

like you have a little moment of summer.

Now, I am not a homesteader.

But I do enjoy the farmer's
market this time of year and

I always look forward to it.

I do not do preserving, but you know,
modern grocery stores, I don't have to,

but it's something you can consider.

If you have the time and energy to
do, this is the season to be doing it.

But I love the metaphor of Virgo being
the sign of preparing for the months ahead

so we have an opportunity to recommit to
the routines and rituals that support us.

Virgo is often associated with wellness
and health, and that is because Virgo

is represented by the maiden, the
Virgin, and it's not a virgin in the

modern sense of not having had sex.

It's in the sense of being devoted
to oneself because the maiden is, the

archetype that comes before the mother.

Before you're married and have children,
and we're looking at these from

traditional archetypes, the maiden is
devoted completely and utterly to herself.

And so she is caring for herself
and learning about herself and

committed to her own personal
development so that she can fulfill

her potential in this lifetime.

And so Virgo encourages
us to do the same thing.

How are we.

Honoring our own potential.

How are we developing?

How are we evolving?

How are we growing?

Remember, Virgo is ruled by
Mercury, but it is an earth sign.

So it's very much interested in how
we express ourselves, our language.

It is the wonderful editor of the Zodiac.

It takes something and it puts
the final finishing touches on

it and makes it beautiful and
ready for the world to take in.

If there's something that you
need to put that final edit on

this is a good season to do it.

Mercury will be joining, the Sun in Virgo.

So when that happens, when Mercury's and
his home sign of Virgo, our minds are

gonna be feeling extra sharp as well.

So that is a nice addition this week
and I, again, this is the fourth

time I'm sitting down to record this
podcast, so lots is going on here and

it's not Mercury retrograde, Mercury's
out of its post retrograde shadow.

So I have no idea why I'm having so
many tech issues, we did have Venus

opposite Pluto this week on Wednesday.

So if you've been having a lot of power
struggles in your relationships, I

thought I was, uh, you know, missing that.

But then of course the blowup
came this af this morning.

So I've been in a group chat
with two of my astrologer friends

and all of us are having, uh.

Um, tiffs with our husbands.

So if you are having some push pull
in your relationship, Venus Pluto

is certainly active right now.

It's also a time where you
might be a little bit more aware

of your financial situation.

So that stuff can be tough,
that stuff can be intense.

We are certainly dealing with
a lot of intense astrology

one after another right now.

I wish I could tell you
you're gonna get a break, but.

As I said, we're going into Eclipse
season, so you might be feeling

like there's a changing dynamic
in your relationships this week.

There was a lot of Venus
activity in the sky.

As I mentioned.

Saturn will go back into Pisces
on Monday the first, next week.

On the third we're going
to have Mercury Square.

Uranus, it's gonna be
on the 3rd of September.

This is a day where you might feel
really anxious, you might feel

really overwhelmed or overstimulated.

Give yourself space this week,
particularly on Wednesday, to

make sure that you're doing things
that help you feel embodied.

Whether that's taking a walk, making
sure that you drink enough water, getting

up early so you can do your meditation.

Whatever it is that you need to
make sure that you feel grounded

in your body is going to help.

On Wednesday, on Thursday the fourth,
we're gonna have Mars Square, Jupiter.

This can be a real big boon to the
confidence, so you can feel really able

to take on some big stuff on Thursday.

And also just feeling a little
bit of excitement, maybe a

renewal in your self-belief.

On Saturday the sixth, the
Uranus will retrograde.

He is the final outer planet
to retrograde the outer planet.

Spend about.

Half the year retrogrades.

That is not unusual.

Then on September 7th, we will have
the full moon lunar eclipse that is

going to be in Pisces at 15 degrees.

This is going to be a big one.

I anticipate a lot of news
coming out around this one.

We will.

See a lot of stories, a lot of
information that we've been waiting

for, wink, wink, coming to the surface.

Everything feels like everything
all at once right now.

So do what you can to take care
of yourself, particularly midweek

next week with that Mercury Square
Uranus, which is really going

to activate our nervous systems.

In general the vibe that
I'm feeling at the moment.

Is that this new moon in Virgo that
we had last week, it has really been

a little mini fresh start there.

It feels like there is a shift in the air.

Now, this could be Eclipse season
too, but we're having this, we have

this New Moon at Zero Degrees Virgo,
which is the very start of the sign.

And because we had that new Moon
right after the sun entered Virgo,

we will have a New Moon at 29 degrees
Virgo at the end of Virgo season.

So we have a New Moon book ending.

Starting and ending, this Virgo season.

So something about this Virgo season feels
like an opportunity to reset your course,

and I don't know that we all know what
that means because we will have these two

eclipses, which will make things apparent
that we weren't able to see before.

So stay tuned.

I will be back with you next week.

I.

Pretty much promise.

I hope I can promise.

My son is starting school
on the eighth and next week.

We have like a ton of events
to get him assimilated.

We have parents night and private tour and
playground play date and all these things.

So hopefully next week
I will be back with you.

Before the end of the week to talk more
about that full moon lunar eclipse, I

am opening up more spots for readings.

Not a ton, but I do have some
availability, so make sure

that you are on my email list.

You can join that at veronicaperretti.com

right on the homepage.

And don't forget to go
to veronicaperretti.com

and sign up for your spot for
the next cosmic conversation.

On September 12th, I'm gonna
leave it there because I've

had so many issues recording.

I just wanna make sure I get
something up and out to you this week.

And I look forward to being here weekly
and more consistently as the weeks ahead

progress and we move into fall, which
is my favorite time of year, and we see

what these eclipses have in store for us.

Okay?

So remember, take care of yourself.

Make sure that you're taking
deep breaths, drinking enough

water, and I'll talk to you soon.
