Energetic Overwhelm and Opportunity: The Astrological Apex of 2025 has Arrived
Welcome back to the Essential Astrocast.
I am your host, Veronica Perretti,
and this is the podcast you listen
to when you want to know what's going
on up in the heavens, so you can
dictate your fate down here on Earth.
So let's start with a deep breath.
Take a deep breath in.
And take a full breath out.
It has been a week, it has been two weeks.
It has been a year.
It has been 10 years.
It has been a lot.
We have so much going on.
It is really, the.
That we've hit, we're
hitting the apex of 2025.
In fact, the astrology of last weekend
was some of the most rocking and roll in
astrology that we will have this year.
We are officially in it.
So remember if you were listening
back in the beginning of the year, I
talked a lot about how 2025 was going
to start off with a ton of retrograde.
And things were gonna feel really slow,
and it was gonna take time to get going,
but this was in our favor that sometimes
when we have Mars and Venus and retrograde
and then Mercury was also retrograde,
having things go slow can be helpful.
Now we know why things are really taking
off and we're not going slow anymore.
Everything is moving full speed
ahead, and it's a lot to handle.
So if you are feeling energetically
overwhelmed, psychically overwhelmed,
emotionally overwhelmed, if you're
feeling spent, if you feel like you have
no bandwidth left, if you're feeling
anxious, these are all normal things
Be experiencing in a society
that is, going through a
constitutional crisis, of course.
but it's also normal to experience these
things when we have this much topsy-turvy,
brand new, unprecedented energy.
Going on in the skies in the planets.
So remember, the planets don't do things.
People do things.
The planets are a mirror for the
energy that we're working with.
They give us indications of the patterns
and the cycles and what we're going
to be working with because we can look
back at history and say, okay, when.
Uranus was at the late degrees of Taurus.
This is what happened.
Or when, Saturn was in Aries
last time, this is what happened.
Those are the ways that we get clues
as to what we might be working with.
being an astrologer is a little
bit like being a researcher and
being a psychologist and being a
historian and being a little bit, Of
an intuitive person with the finger
on the pulse of the collective.
It really brings in a
lot of different things.
And so one of the things I love doing
is looking back at history, pretty
much more recent history 'cause that's
what I can make sense of and seeing the
patterns, particularly in my own life.
And then also within the society
that we're in now, two of the
planets that are most associated
with society and our relationship
to society are Jupiter and Saturn.
And last Sunday we had
Jupiter Square, Saturn.
Now they had two prior squares.
So this is the third.
But this is the first one that
we're experiencing in these signs
with Jupiter newly in cancer,
and Saturn newly in Aries.
So the previous two occurred
with Jupiter in Gemini and.
Saturn in Pisces, those are mutable signs.
Mutable signs are shifting, changing,
adaptable, adjusting cardinal signs.
They are the signs that light
the match that get things going.
They are the initiators.
So this third and final square between
these two planets is initiating
something new, but it's really.
A moment of blossoming, a
moment of, checking in with
how something is progressing.
That is really an underlying 20 year
cycle because Jupiter and Saturn joined
together in December of 2020, and when
they join together every 20 years,
they meet in the sky and they have
this, what we call a great conjunction.
You might have remembered back in December
of 2020, everybody was talking about how
the Bethlehem star, the Christmas star.
It's gonna be closer than it has
been since 1400, something that was
Jupiter and Saturn joining in the sky.
So they were very close to earth and
you could see it for several days.
They were very close together and it
was beautiful They kicked off a new
20 year cycle, and not only was it a
20 year cycle, it was the first time
that they were meeting in Aquarius
for hundreds of years because for 200
years they've been meeting in earth
signs except for one little blip in
1981 when they met in Libra, but in
2020 they met at zero degrees Aquarius.
And anytime something happens at
zero degrees, it is something that
turns our head, we're like, Ooh,
something's happening at zero degrees.
I need to pay attention to that.
That is the start of something important.
It was at zero Degrees Aquarius.
Aquarius is the sign of community.
Of, social activism of humanitarianism.
It is also crowds of people rising up.
Now, whether or not those crowds of
people rise up and you agree with them or
you don't agree with them, we know that
Aquarius does bring that to the forefront.
And of course, December, 2020.
It was December 21st, 2020, and
then that conjunction was still
in the sky on January 6th, 2021.
And we all know what happened that day.
And now here we are five years later
and we have the opening square.
So this is the end of the first quarter
of this 20 year cycle, this 20 year game
that we are in the process of playing out.
We've just finished the first quarter
and on the weekend that they have this
square and they bring us to the end of
the first quarter, we have the no Kings
protest juxtaposed to a military parade.
So we saw estimates 12 million people,
13 million people, something like that.
Show up for no kings.
Marches no Kings gatherings
across the country.
and it seems like it's a really
powerful thing that has legs because
it's not just people of one ideology,
it's Americans that are saying, we
don't have kings in this country.
We separated from the monarchy in 1776.
Might I remind you that we are still
in our Pluto return as a country.
This is our first Pluto return.
We are celebrating 250 years
of, the United States since
its birth, July 4th, 1776.
That will be next year.
So we are, certainly in a
moment and we chose to be here.
So with astrology, I like to say
that we all choose our charts.
You might not know why
you chose your chart.
You might not know why you chose to
come into the family that you did, Your
soul chose to be here at this time.
So we're all meant to be here together,
going through this process, and
we all have some purpose in being
here on the planet at this time.
And it is certainly a time
of unprecedented chaos and.
Growth and evolution and shifting, and
that's not just here in the States.
Of course, I am woefully
underqualified to talk about history
and politics in other countries.
Um, so I'll stick to what I know.
But I will say that having all the
outer planets move into new signs this
year means that this is a year that is
setting the stage for a massive evolution
for all of us, for all of humanity.
And that is not easy.
You know, no matter what sign it is,
no matter what planet it is, having
five planets, five outer planets, you
know, all the, we, we had Pluto move in
2024, but that was very end of 20, 24.
And everybody else, Jupiter of
course, moves every year into a new
sign, but Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
Having them also change signs this year.
Really powerful, really overwhelming.
This is so many things in our chart are
moving into new energies, moving into
new experiences.
So with that, we had the
Jupiter Square Saturn on Sunday.
That was pretty powerful.
That in and of itself would
be enough to talk about.
And I talked about it a lot this
week in our cosmic conversation.
So if you don't know every other Monday at
5:00 PM Eastern, I host a free gathering
on Zoom called Cosmic Conversation.
You should certainly join us.
You can go to my website,
veronica preti.com/events.
Go to the events page and you
can save your seat totally free.
Totally complimentary.
We have a wonderful community of women at
this point, but men are of course, invited
to join and we, we talk astrology, we
talk about what's going on in the world.
So we had a lot to talk about this past
Monday, where I did a lot of talking
'cause there was so much to, to cover.
You can bring questions about
your own chart as well as what's
going on in the collective.
Okay.
That was enough astrology, the
Jupiter Square Saturn, but we also
had Mars Square Uranus the same day.
Now to give you a little overview about
why that's important, you might remember
that Mars joined with Uranus back in
July of 2024, and it happens to be,
I think it was two days after that event
happened with someone named Donald in
Pennsylvania at a rally and there's
a very, iconic photo with him in his
fist in the air after that happened.
So.
That happened right when Mars and Uranus
were coming together to join together.
So these patterns and cycles that we
witness as astrologers and astrology
enthusiasts, the conjunction of
two planets, it's like a new moon.
When the sun and the moon comes
together, they create a new cycle.
It's a fresh cycle.
We have that every month with the
new moon, but one week into the moon
cycle, we have the first quarter.
That is that that growing waxing
energy, we're starting to actually
see the seed push up through the soil.
We have a little bit of an inclination
of how the growth is going to occur.
We have a little bit of an inclination
of, what we're working with when we
get to that first quarter, and it's
the same thing with these cycles.
We have these two planets.
They come together, they join
together, and then at some point.
In their cycle, depending on
how long their cycle is, they
will have that opening square.
We will get to that first quarter
point and we'll have an idea
of what we're working with.
We'll have an idea of what's coming
up, what's coming through, how is
this evolving, how is this growing?
How do I need to maybe adjust?
How do I need to pivot if I need to pivot?
So Mars and Uranus came
together July, 2024.
Now thanks to Mars, epic long retrograde
that we lived through with his opposition
to Pluto, which felt never ending.
We had some really hard stuff going
on that you might remember me talking
about from October through pretty much
April and then, or even May, I believe.
Okay.
Finally, Mars reaches the end of
Leo and we get this square with
Uranus at the end of Taurus, Uranus.
By the way, he is the only one that hasn't
come to the party of changing signs.
He will be changing signs July 7th.
Put a pin in that.
We'll talk about that
soon, but not this week.
Uranus is certainly creating some chaos
in those late degrees of tourists.
He's now at 29 degrees Taurus, so I
anticipate that, we will continue to
see some big, chaotic things happening,
on the world stage in the coming weeks.
So Uranus at the end of Taurus, again,
we'll talk about that more soon, but
just know that, you know, if you see
some things happening that feel like.
The, the Earth is literally
shifting underneath your feet.
that's Uranus at 29 Degrees Taurus.
But of course we had Mars Square
Uranus, so that was on Sunday,
and that was the opening square.
That was getting to the first
quarter of that Mars Uranus cycle.
Now Mars and Uranus together,
Jupiter and Saturn together, which I
should have said earlier is Jupiter
is expansion and amplification.
Saturn is restriction,
Saturn is practicality.
Saturn is wisdom as well,
and Jupiter is faith.
Jupiter and Saturn working together
in a square, it's where do I
need to believe in myself and
where do I need to be realistic?
Where do I need to keep the
hope, keep the faith, and where
do I need the reality check?
Where do I need to allow myself to expand,
and where do I need to reign myself in?
There's that play between those
two planets and that's kind of
why they work so well together.
Mars and Uranus, they are volatile.
They are electric.
They are the magic in the moment of
that aha hit of in inspiration, and
they are the unexpected volatility of
someone sideswiping you on the highway.
You know, it just.
It can go either way.
Mars Square, Uranus can give you the
oomph to finally do the thing that you
needed to do, or it might be the thing
that completely overwhelms you because
this unexpected event happens and
your whole life, it turns upside down.
When we see Mars and Uranus, there
is always a lookout for violence.
We saw that this weekend and I thought
to myself and many other astrologers
thought to themselves, keep an
eye on that Mars Square, Uranus.
Something's gonna come up with
Donald's, we gotta see what's going on.
And I thought it might be
some sort of health event, but
interestingly enough, and it could
be something that we're not seeing.
Right?
Although that could be happening
later this year with his chart.
it was on his birthday.
So that Mars Uranus story is hitting his
chart, hitting his angles, hitting all
of those sensitive points in his chart.
I don't wanna get too deep into that.
We talked about that a lot in cosmic
conversation, but just know it's certainly
impacting his chart in a lot of ways.
What was so interesting is we had
this experience of political violence
in July of 2024 when Mars and Uranus
joined together in their conjunction,
and now at the Square we have this
another horrific experience of
political violence in this country.
So.
Mars, Uranus, it's volatility.
It can be violent, it can be unexpected.
And of course that is a recipe
for disaster when you live in a
country where guns are so freely
accessible and available to everyone.
So that's what I have to say
about the Mars Square Uranus.
if you're not familiar, there
were, several elected officials
in Minnesota who, were victims of.
Gun violence this weekend.
So it's horrible.
It's scary.
We also saw things happening,
between Israel and Iran.
We also have the war
raging on, in Ukraine.
It, the Mars Uranus is very intense.
With everything else
amping up that intensity.
Now you're gonna hear a lot of
astrologers talking about how
Jupiter and cancer is so great.
It's so sweet, it's so
nourishing, it's so wonderful.
Jupiter's exhausted in cancer.
I gave you that whole story last week.
I did an Instagram video about that.
I think I talked a lot about Jupiter
and cancer in the previous podcast.
I don't wanna spend too much time on that,
but I will say that Jupiter, I just wanna
reiterate that Jupiter in Cancer, its
entrance into cancer is rocky because.
Jupiter and cancer is immediately faced
with this square, with this hitting the
brick wall of Saturn and then hitting
the, the vast ocean wave of Neptune.
So it's like a one two punch
that Jupiter is receiving
from Saturn, and then Neptune.
So interestingly, this week as I
am recording, I'm recording this on
Wednesday the 18th, of June, and today
we have Jupiter squaring Neptune and.
Jupiter again, it's the amplifier.
He's the God of the gods.
When we need abundance, blessings,
fertility, we call on Jupiter.
Jupiter and Venus are the benefi.
There are the, they're the planets
that we're always happy to see.
But remember, too much of anything
is too much, and Jupiter is always
more, more, more so Jupiter's square.
Saturn is one thing, but then
Jupiter Square, Neptune as well.
It can create a sense of disillusionment
because Neptune and Jupiter, they
are the two planets that are most
associated with faith, belief, spiritual.
studies the spiritual realm, the idea of
believing something in something bigger
than yourself, and therefore religion.
And we know, or I know, 'cause
I'm following a lot of these
things that, really fundamentalist
religion is on the rise right now.
Particularly, there's a lot of.
Young men and young women who are
being radicalized, by social media.
You know, it's very easy to
end up down that rabbit hole.
I even find we have this one guy
that we play for my son on YouTube
who plays a guitar and you know.
Man in New York playing a
guitar, singing nursery rhymes.
Somehow got my YouTube into an algorithm
where I ended up with someone who
was talking about Christian values
playing a guitar, targeted children.
So it's very easy in the social media.
Worlds that we're living in where
it's hard to know what's the real
world and what's our online world.
It's very easy to end up in an
algorithm that leads you to a place
that doesn't seem so harmful, but
then you're like, wait, why am I here?
And the next thing you know, you might be.
Getting a lot of that content and
listening to this podcast, you
might be a person who is a critical
thinker and you are able to spot
when the algorithm is giving you
something that's a little bit funky.
But there are a lot of people,
particularly younger people, who are
going to be really taken in by that.
And that is part of the Jupiter and
Gemini that we've been experiencing.
Jupiter and Gemini made misinformation
and disinformation and, The the
many ways that we can be misled, it
made that easier and easier because
remember, too much of anything is too
much, and Jupiter is the amplifier.
So now Jupiter Square, Neptune, it is
bringing some of that radical thinking
that comes from a place of true,
deep held belief to the forefront.
And it'll be interesting to see
how that continues to play out.
But really easy with Jupyter Square,
Neptune to think that something is,
something is so good, it
can't be true, but it is.
And then to believe it, and then
to be fleeced or disillusioned.
Jupiter's were Neptune might
also be people who were believing
so wholeheartedly in something,
and then being disillusioned,
having the illusion taken away.
That could be the presence
of Saturn with Neptune, I.
Because Saturn is the pragmatist.
Saturn is the realist, so we
can't look at Jupiter squa
Neptune as living in a vacuum.
Jupiter is squaring
both Saturn and Neptune.
Saturn and Neptune are in a
conjunction to one another.
They're not gonna meet, their conjunction
is not going to perfect until 2026, but
they're so close together and they're
moving through the sky together that
there's no other way to experience
Saturn and Neptune right now other than.
With each of them, flavoring one another.
So this week we're getting a
real masterclass in what that
Saturn, Neptune is about for us.
'cause we're gonna be working with it
into next year and really we're gonna be
working with it for the next three years
because Saturn and Neptune will both
be in Aries together for three years.
So we're gonna be working with this energy
for a while, but certainly it's going
to be intense this year and next year.
This week with Jupiter squaring
both of them, we are getting a
good taste of, what's this story?
Historically, there is an astrologer,
very famous astrologer, Richard Tarus.
He speaks about how Saturn and
Neptune conjunctions tend to
be, periods in human history.
Where there is great disillusionment
and there is a heaviness and a
depression in the collective.
So we kind of knew that was coming.
and we kind of knew because it's an Aries
that there was gonna be some violence and
that there was going to be a lot of war.
That is always something that
we hope were not predicting.
But of course, Aries is
a sign of the Warriors.
So with all this action
happening in early Aries, it's
kind of a recipe for, a lot of.
Misled anger and frustration to
be expressed in a very primal way.
and that's what we're seeing.
the other thing that's going to be
happening to stay on the same wavelength
and then I'll clue you into a couple other
things that I really like for the week.
the other thing is that the sun
will square Saturn on Sunday.
So we're going to be working with this
energy of Saturn, Neptune all this week.
We're gonna be feeling the presence
of that Saturn Neptune conjunction
because we have the Jupiter squares,
and then on Sunday the sun squares.
Saturn and then on Monday the
23rd, the sun squares Neptune.
So really we're getting, an illumination
of what that story is for us.
pay attention to what's
coming up right now.
Pay attention to what
needs your attention.
Pay attention to what's happening in
the collective, what's happening in the
news, because all of these things are
giving us Little ideas of what we're gonna
be working with, as Saturn and Neptune
continue to be working with one another.
Okay.
So.
Apologies for my cat
crying if you hear him.
the other thing that we've got
going on is that on Friday the 20th,
we have the sun entering cancer.
It is the summer solstice, so
it is the beginning of summer.
Happy birthday, happy solo return
to all of you cancer babies.
All of you crabs.
before that, even, to go back a moment,
on Tuesday the 17th, we had Mars
and to Virgo, and that is cause for
celebration because Mars entering Virgo.
Oh my goodness.
We've had Mars in cancer
or Leo since September.
That is right.
You heard me right?
September of 2024.
Since September of 2024, we have had
Mars and either cancer or Leo, thanks
to his epically long retrograde.
So we are thrilled for the newness,
for the fresh feelings, for the
motivation for the Nitpickiness.
For the persnickety of Mars and Virgo.
I swear to God, I felt Mars move
into Virgo almost instantaneously.
Yesterday was Tuesday and it
moved in at 4:30 AM and I swear I
just had a day where I was like.
I'm doing this and I'm doing that, and
I'm getting so much done and it felt
really easy to get a lot of things done.
A lot of little things, a lot of
details, a lot of phone calls, a
lot of texts, a lot of emails just.
Really, really happy to feel
Mars and Virgo, I gotta tell you.
it can be persnickety, it can be critical.
It can be judgemental.
Watch out for those things.
But I think we are all happy to have Mars
and Virgo just kicking our butts into
gear and getting our to-do list done.
So enjoy that Friday.
Of course, summer solstice,
the sun enter cancer.
Then on Sunday, we do
have a really nice aspect.
We have Mars now in Virgo,
sextiling, Jupiter in cancer, so
this kind of kicks off a little
bit more sweetness in the sky.
I like this.
This makes us confident and makes us have
that self-belief again, it makes it really
easy to get those things done and talk
to the people that you need to talk to.
So.
Sunday the 22nd.
The only damper on this is that
the sun will be squaring Saturn,
so it's not free and clear.
You know, the sun square Saturn
can make us just feel like maybe
we're being held back a little bit.
The sun is squaring Saturn Sunday
and then squaring Neptune on Monday.
We're getting an idea of what that
conjunction is about for us, it's
at early Aries, so if you've got
anything, any planets or angles at
early Aries, like we're getting an
idea of what we're working with.
So that's important and that's good.
and the Mars exile, Jupiter gives
us the resources to work with
whatever we've gotta work with.
So I think this might be a good thing.
I think this might be helpful.
You know, Saturn's gonna help
us be practical about it.
Next week, we have some
really lovely things coming.
So next week is the week
on your calendar to circle.
Tuesday the 24th, we will have Jupiter
Kmi, which means that the sun and
Jupiter will join together in the sky.
It happens once a year.
Some astrologers call this
the luckiest day of the year.
I don't know if I would go that far, but I
would go that far to say it is some of the
nicest astrology we've had for a while.
So we finally get to experience.
The nourishment, the nurturing,
the softness, the receptivity, the
feeling of, ugh, the deep exhale that
Jupiter and Cancer wants to give us.
You know, again, Jupiter and Cancer.
Love it.
Happy for it.
So happy for all of you cancers.
So happy for all of you with
cancer placements in your chart.
So happy that this is, this is gonna hit
my ic that the bottom of my chart, I'm
looking for that abundance in my home.
I'm looking to finally
finish decorating my house.
You know, I'm really happy for Jupiter
and cancer, but Jupiter and cancer,
again, Jupiter is amplification.
Cancer can be productive.
Cancer can be a little passive aggressive.
Cancer can bring up some other stuff.
it can amplify whatever is going on
in your family or your home situation.
So I love Jupiter and cancer.
I'm very happy it's there, but I'm not
viewing it with rose colored glasses.
let's enjoy it.
Let's take a bath, Have some yummy food.
bake some bread.
Let's do all the nourishing things
that cancer, thrives at doing.
on Wednesday the 25th of June, we will
have a new moon in cancer and I will be
back to talk about that early next week.
I didn't get on the mic last week just
because that Mars Square Uranus threw
some very unexpected stuff my way.
I got some stuff going on.
You know, I always do.
I kind of am in that phase of life.
I'm in that season of life.
I'm also in my Neptunes square,
Neptune, meaning that Neptune in the
sky is squaring my needle, Neptune.
I've been in that for a while, so
everything kind of feels like it's.
Sand slipping through my
hands a lot of the time.
so I wanted to get on the mic and
talk to you about everything that's
going on and help it make sense.
And I hope that I did that today.
Join us on the 29th for
the Saturn workshop.
I'm gonna talk about Saturn cycles
through your life as well as the Saturn
cycles, that we always hear about, you
know, the Saturn return, but we're gonna
talk about the other Saturn cycles.
'cause every seven years you
get a little Saturn itch.
We'll talk about Saturn through
all the signs, and I'll talk a
little bit more about Saturn and
Aries and what to expect from that.
So I'm really excited
to give Saturn its due.
Saturn kind of gets a
bad rap in astrology.
We're kind of down on him,
I want to shift our
experience with Saturn.
I want to welcome him in and allow
him to share his wisdom with us.
So we will be doing that on June 29th,
and I hope that you can join me for it.
Okay.
Make sure that you are signed
up for the email list for all
the details on everything.
Go to veronica perretti.com/events
to sign up for cosmic conversation
and the Saturn workshop.
Take care of yourself and
I'll talk to you next week.
Bye.
