Saturn enters its Aries Era

Welcome back to The Essential Astrocast.

I am your host, Veronica Perretti,
and this is the podcast you listen

to when you want to know what's going
on in the heavens, so that you can

dictate your fate down here on Earth.

Apologies if you hear some
beeping in the background.

I'm recording during the
day, which I normally do not.

I normally record at night because
that's the most quiet time, So I recorded

a really great podcast last week.

A lot of it having to do with Saturn.

And then of course we were
working with some Uranian energy.

We had Sun conjunct Uranus
a couple of weeks ago.

You might have remembered when.

The story about Joe
Biden's cancer came out.

That was, when the sun joined with Uranus.

And then last, late last week,
we had, mercury join with Uranus,

and I had more unexpected things
show up in my personal life.

So everything is good.

It's just, you know, it's hard
to balance the whole householder.

Stay at home mom, still working thing.

And I'm, I'm balancing it.

I'm figuring it out.

But all that said, I did record
this long podcast for you

mostly about Saturn last week.

It was great, but it had a kind of
down energy to it because I recorded it

when Saturn was at 29 degrees Pisces.

So one of the reasons I
like recording the podcast.

In real time and then editing
and uploading it and getting it

out right away is because I'm
in the energy that you are in.

So it is really, helpful
for me to do it that way.

but of course that comes with the
drawback of when life gets lifeing.

The podcast doesn't go out,
so I just didn't get it.

edited and uploaded in time, and by the
time it was ready to go, it felt stale.

It felt kind of old and outdated because
last week we had Saturn at 29 degrees

Pisces, as I mentioned, which felt
like we were standing at the threshold

about to walk through the doorway.

So now we have walked through that
doorway and the energy is quite different.

And you might be experiencing
this and noticing this yourself.

So last week when we had that 29 degree
Saturn at the end of Pisces, which

we will see again because Saturn has
injured Aries, it's very big news.

Saturn has not been in Aries
since the late nineties.

We're gonna talk a lot about that today.

But I just wanted to share first that
you know that news about Joe Biden.

We recently had the Pope pass
away and the new Pope come in.

A lot of the stories we're seeing,
or that we were seeing the past few

weeks, had Saturn at late degrees.

Pisces written all over it because Saturn
takes three years to go through a sign.

And so Saturn at the very end of
Pisces, it's not just Saturn ending

its time in Pisces or coming to an
end in Pisces, but it's also coming

to the end of an entire 30 year cycle
because Pisces is the end of the Zodiac

and Aries is the start of the zodiac.

So we consider zero Aries.

Zero Aries is when the sun
hits zero Aries each year.

That is the spring equinox.

So that is the start.

Saturn coming to zero.

Aries coming to what we consider
a World Point is an incredible

moment of initiation and a brand
new 30 year cycle for the planet.

Now, for those of you out there who
were born with Saturn and Aries, you

are now entering your Saturn return.

And for those of you that have.

A sun in Aries, like me or other
planets in Aries, like the moon or

Venus or Mars or whatever you have
in Aries, Saturn coming to those

planets is gonna be a very big deal.

And then for those of you who, maybe
are Saturn and Pisces people, you are

coming to the end of your Saturn return.

So this is an exciting time.

Saturn helps us really mark
the chapters of our life.

Saturn is a 30 year.

Experience.

every 30 years Saturn starts a new cycle.

that's why the Saturn return occurs
at 29 years old, and then you get

another one in your late fifties.

they're very different flavors, but
they're kind of the same thing in the

sense that it brings us to a threshold
and we step over that threshold

into a new chapter of our life.

And then every seven years
we're getting Saturn transits.

We're getting a square or an opposition
or another square, or that Saturn return.

So every seven years, Saturn
is saying, Hey, just knocking

on the door, what's going on?

Are you following the rules?

Are you honoring your
karma and your dharma?

Are you doing your work in the world?

What, how are you living?

And are you taking
responsibility for yourself?

Are you taking responsibility
for your purpose?

What you're here to do, what you're
here to contribute to humanity?

Saturn is about responsibility.

It is often a heavy burden.

It can be.

All the things that I consider adulting,
you know, just being an adult and taking

care of yourself and taking care of the
things that you have to take care of.

So Saturn is not necessarily fun times.

He's not Jupiter, but
he's really important.

He offers us the discipline and the
structure and the boundaries that help us

learn because how can you learn something
if you don't have some sort of curriculum,

if you don't have some sort of course,
if you don't have someone teaching you,

if you don't have some sort of system.

I remember I had a teacher years ago
who used to say creating a system

is very hard, and one of the things
that we're seeing collectively.

Is this drive to break down
the systems that we have.

And we're seeing that politically.

We're seeing that with this
administration we're seeing.

The guts of so many of these systems
because we just took for granted that

they worked and those systems we took
for granted that they supported us.

Saturn is the systems and the
things that support us, so Saturn

is important and he's gonna be.

Rocking and Roland and Aries,
and for those of us that were

around in the nineties, you may
remember what that felt like.

And for those of you that weren't
here in the nineties, this is

your first experience of Saturn.

And for those of you that have been
around longer than that, you've

seen Saturn and Aries a few times.

But we'll get more into
Saturn and Aries in a moment.

I wanted to share that
this week in particular.

So I'm recording this on May 29th,
but this week, starting with May 26th,

we had a new moon in Gemini and that
New Moon was completely unencumbered.

There was no, challenging
transits impacting that new moon.

So this new Moon really
feels like a fresh start.

Especially because it's the first
new moon that we're experiencing

with Saturn newly in Aries.

So if you've not had a chance to do,
some intention setting around this new

moon, you can still take advantage of.

This energy, you can still
work with it this week.

You can still set an intention.

And on Tuesday I sent an email
out with some journal prompts

to help you do just that.

So if you're on my email list, if you
didn't see it, go check your inbox.

There is an email with the journal
prompts for the New Moon in Gemini, which

occurred late Monday night Eastern time.

And for those of you in other parts
of the state states, west of me.

It was early Tuesday, the 27th,
but we're still in the New Moon

energy, so take advantage of that.

Do some intention setting.

Gemini, we are in Gemini season 'cause
the sun and the moon met up in Gemini.

Gemini is a sign that is
about self-expression.

It's about expressing our truth.

It's about curiosity.

Following our threads of curiosity,
allowing ourself to follow

the things that inspire us.

It is sometimes a multitasker.

I think of it as the
singer-songwriter archetype.

You know, the woman who is singing
the words that she wrote and she's

playing the guitar at the same time.

And that's because Gemini rules
both the hands and the lungs.

So I really like to use Gemini seasons
since it's so associated with words.

It's ruled by Mercury.

Mercury is the ruler of both Gemini
and Virgo, Whenever we're working with

Mercury, we're working with expressing
ourselves, particularly through

language, particularly through words.

So for me, I'm a journaler, so this is
a time of year where I'm like, okay,

I really have to make sure that I'm
sitting down with my journal and getting

my thoughts out because I know that
getting my thoughts out, writing them

out, it's going to be really helpful
for me to get to my truth and also just

to feel like I am expressing myself.

Joan Zion, I'm going to.

Butcher this quote, but it was
something like, I don't know

how I feel until I write it.

And I often feel that way as well.

When I feel disconnected from myself,
I know that I have to sit down with

my journal and free write or just ask
myself how do I feel and write about

it because I don't know how I feel
until I write about it sometimes.

Now, mind you, I have
a mercury ruled Moon.

I have a moon in Virgo, so.

That might be why that works for me.

But Gemini season, we all are
living under the, the beams of,

of the sun being ruled by Mercury.

So Mercury is also in Gemini right now.

Another reason that this New Moon
was so nice is because Gemini

is not only the place that is
housing the sun at this time, but.

Also Mercury the ruler of the sign.

So it just feels extra Gemini ish.

And we also have Jupiter there.

And Jupiter is at the last late degrees
of Gemini because Jupiter will be

moving into cancer in June, on June 9th.

So I'm not gonna talk about that today,
but that's a little teaser for you that

one of the most exciting points of this
year, of the astrology of this year.

The astrology of this year is wild.

It's crazy.

All the planets are change.

All the big time planets that take years
to go through a sign are moving signs.

So big astrology this
year, it's a big year.

As I said, we were waiting to
cross over that threshold and we

have now officially crossed over
the threshold into this new era.

with that said, Jupiter moving
to cancer is one of the really

sweet, Transits of this year.

So we'll talk more about that next week.

But today I wanna talk
mostly about Saturn.

So I was thinking about the
podcast and you know, rerecording

this podcast, if you will.

And I was thinking my, I've been
using the Spotify DJ function.

So many of you probably have Spotify
and are probably listening to

this podcast on Spotify right now.

I should say, if you're on Spotify,
please rate and review the podcast.

You can also leave me comments there.

And if you're listening on Apple
Podcasts on your iPhone, you can go

and rate and review the podcast there.

And I don't ask that enough.

I should ask it more.

But that would be really helpful
'cause it helps new astrology

enthusiasts find the show.

So I've been using the Spotify
DJ function, which is like an AI

function and it basically, you know,
aggregates a lot of songs that you

like and then picks similar songs.

So, of course I listen to a lot
of like yoga music, you know,

like Ton and that kind of stuff.

But I also listen to a lot of,
obviously we have kids music on there

for Jeremiah, but I listen to a lot of
music that probably makes me seem like

I'm a 15-year-old girl living in 2010.

So I, keep getting the song Natasha
Bedingfield unwritten when I

use the DJ function on Spotify.

And I think that's really funny.

Because first of all, of course, it
was the opening song from the Hills.

if those of you that are my age, remember
The Hills, it was the show that came

on that came after Laguna Beach and
Early Reality tv, and Lauren Conrad

and Heidi Montague and the whole thing.

And if you don't know what I'm
talking about, just ignore me.

But the song was this.

The opener to the hills, and you
saw Lauren Conrad getting in the

convertible and she's listening
and you know, the song is playing.

Feel the Rain on your skin.

It's unwritten.

And she's driving down the Pacific Coast
Highway in California and there's just

this overwhelming feeling of freedom.

that's kind of how this feels right now.

If we allow ourselves, we could be
feeling that energy of driving down the

Pacific Coast Highway blasting Natasha
batting field in the convertible,

because we have all these new energies.

Now, of course, we have.

at that time when that show
was on the air, we were living

in a much more peaceful world.

We did not have the rise of
authoritarianism here in the

United States of America.

We didn't have quite so many
worries, at least not as young

people living in the United States.

but I know we have some
listeners from outside the us.

Majority of you are here
and this is a different era.

So while this could.

B, how we're feeling.

We're probably not feeling that way 'cause
there's a lot of heavy stuff going on.

The area's energy is a little bit like,
I don't give a F, but I do what I want.

I look out for myself.

So that's kind of like the
unwritten driving down the

highway in the convertible.

But the other side of Aries is the
fighter standing up for what's right.

The underdog standing up for the
underdog, standing up for the person

that doesn't have the courage.

And one of the things that I
saw coming up the past few weeks

that really was evocative of the
astrology of this moment was Ms.

Rachel.

So if you're not familiar with Ms.

Rachel, you don't have a toddler, but
my son loves Miss Rachel and she's

a saint in our households, and she
very vocally has been coming out.

To speak up for the children of Gaza,
and she's getting a lot of flack

for it, but she's also getting a lot
of people saying, miss Rachel has a

stronger spine than anyone in the media,
anyone in the Congress, any of these

elected officials all over the world.

And I thought that was really powerful.

Rachel's chart.

To me, her speaking out at this
time, even though she's been speaking

out, but just not as prominently.

She did a big interview with Medi Hassan
last week Her coming out and speaking up.

I was like, oh my goodness.

This is Saturn and Aries.

This is speaking up for those that have
no voice, that cannot be heard right now.

So we have an opportunity with
Saturn and Aries and with Neptune

and Aries to get in the convertible
and say, I don't give a, or we have

the opportunity to, stand up tall.

And with a strong back and a soft front

with a open heart and

firm convictions to speak up for
those who maybe don't have voices

that are being heard right now.

So much to talk about today
with Saturn and Aries.

one of my favorite news stories that
evokes this shift of this threshold

that we've walked through, and
I've already shared a few that I've

been considering, but one of them
was the Pope, of course, he passed

away when Saturn was at Lee Pisces.

And now we have this new Pope Pope,
Leo, of course, he took on the name Leo.

And Leo is of course
the fixed fire sign and.

He is going to be having a
broadcast, June 14th, which is

the day of Donald's birthday.

And Donald is having a big boy military
parade in DC And of course, Pope Leo was

like, I'm doing a mass in the afternoon
and broadcasting it to the US and I'm

assuming he'll be speaking in English.

He speaks many languages.

So that's another example of
someone using their power.

maybe it's petty.

But it's also really
smart and it's strategic.

And guess what?

That's because Saturn and Neptune
are in a trine to Pluto in Aquarius.

One of the other things that we're
seeing, we're seeing a lot of stories

the past week about how AI is the, the
drawbacks of AI and all the negative.

Things about ai, and of course
many of us knew that, but it's

getting more attention, not only
the environmental impacts one.

AI AI search uses two bottles
of water supposedly, but also.

How these, there was a story about,
one of the platforms which I actually

use, Claude for philanthropic,
threatening to reveal someone's affair.

'cause the per it had was being used
as an email, an AI email assistant.

Oh my goodness.

So crazy stuff happening with ai.

We're seeing the.

Results of our actions.

We're seeing the consequences with Saturn
because Saturn is all about showing

us the consequences and showing us the
way forward, the right way forward.

Okay.

Saturn and Aries, let's talk about it.

Saturn moved into Aries on May 26th.

And he will dip back into
Pisces when he retrogrades.

But for now, we're feeling the initiation.

We're feeling that strike of
the match because Aries is fire.

It came out of the wet ocean of Pisces.

It shook itself off.

It got a towel.

And it belied up to the
bonfire to the fire.

maybe it's the fire that's
just getting started and it's

trying to warm up and dry out.

we'll be working with this
energy of Saturn and Aries from

now until April 14th, 2028.

this is a period of time
where we will be working with

stepping into our own authority.

We will be working with, the themes
of authority and authoritarianism.

We will be working with, taking
on responsibility directly, taking

action on our responsibilities, taking
action on the things that, perhaps our

burdens so that we can change them.

there's gonna be no more
hiding from adulting.

There's no way to hide
when Saturn's an Aries.

It's gonna make all of us that have all
of our, childish behaviors are gonna get

kind of pointed out, whether it's from
someone else or just within ourselves.

Saturn is the elder.

it's the wise elder of the zodiac.

You know, you can think of
it as like the grandparent.

Archetype.

and Aries is the youth.

It's the first sign of the zodiac.

It's the equivalence of
the infant being born.

So Aries has a vibe of.

naive optimism sometimes and idealism,
because it's like the fool in the tarot.

it has no idea that there's danger out
there, so it just walks off the cliff.

And that's not bad.

It's just something to know, right?

So Saturn coming into Aries, the places
where we are naive, the places where

we are maybe having some childish
innocence, which is beautiful.

We might lose that.

Okay, so it is Saturn and Aries.

It's resourceful, it's determined,
it's filled with purpose.

So if there's something or someone
that you want to speak up for, you're

gonna feel that passion drive you.

Saturn is a planet that likes to
go it alone, and Aries is also a

sign that likes to go it alone.

So Aries wants to be
the leader of the pack.

It doesn't wanna be held back.

It likes to be with other
people as long as it's not

feeling hemmed in or held back.

Saturn like solitude.

So.

I am concerned about the Saturn Aries
period amplifying the loneliness epidemic.

So really important during this time to
ground into your community and the people

that make you feel cared for and nurtured,
because there's gonna be a feeling

of, I can do it, I can take it all on.

I don't need anyone's help.

I can bear the weight of
all the responsibility.

But we know that that is
not wise and not healthy.

So there's a pioneering spirit
on the other side of this, which

is, you know, Aries is kind of
like the cowboy of the Zodiac.

It's a little bit like there's something
out there and I want to go see it, and

I'm not scared and I can do it alone.

So there's a pioneering spirit,
but Saturn is pragmatic.

So this can be a great combination.

You can be.

entrepreneurial or creative, and then
also have the pragmatism to be like,

okay, I need to take this step by step.

I do this and then I do
this, and then I do this.

I don't rush till the end, which is
something we as Aries like to do.

We like to rush into something and we
don't necessarily do as well with the

follow through as we do with the starting.

But Saturn and Aries will really
help us take the thing we started

and bring it to the finish line.

we're gonna get a lot of lessons and
anger and frustration because Aries

is associated with those feelings.

We are going to probably experience
a lot of fear of failure because

Aries like to be successful at things
and they like to do it with ease.

So if something doesn't come
easily, we like to quit.

I think that we're gonna have a fear
of failure with this one because Saturn

really likes us to see things through.

So you might be like, Ooh,
do I wanna start that?

What if I can't finish it?

you're gonna have to work
through those feelings of fear

of failure, and that's okay.

Failure is how we learn.

There's a combining of wisdom
with passion with this energy

because Saturn is the wisdom.

Aries brings the passion and the desire
to initiate, planning with initiative

is kind of how I'm thinking about this.

So that's, those are some
themes for Saturn and Aries.

I think we're going to
see a change of order.

You know, we see a lot of older
people in our elected officials.

I think there's gonna be a lot
more new, younger people coming up.

I mean, hopefully they have to, right?

but the other thing to keep in
mind about Saturn being an Aries is

that he is co-present with Neptune.

So while Saturn is a builder and
wants to build things that last a long

time, Neptune wants to erode things.

He wants to dissolve things.

So I think of Neptune.

Neptune is the Lord of the ocean, right?

And I go to the Jersey Shore a lot in
the summer, and I remember back when

we had Hurricane Sandy years ago,

The sand, the beach was actually eroded
because the ocean was so powerful

with the storm surge that it took
away like half the sand on the beach

and the beach is pretty big, and they
had to import sand to fill it in.

And for a very long time you could
see the line where the imported sand.

began and the native sand, ended.

So I think we're going to see this
push pull of old ways, dissolving,

old systems dissolving the things
that we have relied on, perhaps

dissolving, but new energy coming in.

New ways of thinking, coming in,
new systems, new responsibilities,

new people in charge.

So there's never, it's never black and
white start and stop with astrology.

These cycles, they overlay each
other, they thread together

like fabric being woven.

So it's never, oh, we're doing this.

So now it's this.

No, we're gonna see both these things.

You're gonna see places where
things that once were are no longer

because of Neptune dissolving.

And you're gonna see new systems and
new communities and new ideas and

new projects and businesses pop up.

And that's kind of what
we're seeing with ai, right?

We're seeing like this new technology
and we're also seeing it dissolve.

Old jobs, we're seeing it take away
people's jobs or we're starting to see

that, or we will be seeing more of it.

but it's also creating jobs for people.

So it'll be interesting to
see how that all shakes out.

And of course, we're part of it.

And something I wanna say is that,
I know I'm talking very big picture

today, and sometimes when we go and
we talk big picture like this and I

bring in more of the collective stories
that are playing out, it can feel a

little overwhelming and it can feel
like, oh my God, I have no control.

But you and I, we chose
to be born at this time.

We chose to be here on
this planet at this time.

Saturn is associated with dharma
and it's our purpose, right?

So one of my favorite astrologers,
Ann Orley, she says, do your Saturn.

So we have a purpose in
being here at this time.

We have a reason that we incarnated to
be present on the planet at this moment.

We've got work to do.

So whatever your purpose is, whether
it is taking care of your children

or doing your job, or just being a
source of kindness and light in the

world, as you move about your day,
whatever your purpose is, showing up and

living it is what you're meant to do.

And of course, we can all do more, right?

We all can take on.

We can all look out there and see
who needs help and speak up for them.

That's the essence of
Saturn and Aries, right?

But just know that, while it can feel like
we don't have control in this moment, as

I always say, you dictate your fate and
we were meant to be here at this moment,

so we have something to contribute to.

This collective experience we're
having, which is being human

beings on the earth in 2025.

what else did I wanna say today?

I wanted to say that, Venus and Chiron
will come together on Sunday, and that is

gonna be an opportunity to heal some deep
wounds and advocate for yourself because

Venus and Chiron will be joining together.

In the latter degrees of Aries.

So again, more Aries energy and Aries
energy is always about advocating for

yourself, standing up for yourself,
standing up for the underdog, so

you have an opportunity on Sunday
perhaps to have a conversation with

someone that you're in relationship
with, A family member, a friend.

A neighbor, whoever it is, maybe there's
something going on and you need to

advocate for yourself, then this might
be a day that that conversation happens.

it could happen, you know, a few
days before, a few days after.

Again, astrology.

It's not black and white.

Sometimes we feel these energies a
few days before, a few days after.

we have that Mercury, cazimi, the
Sun and Mercury joining together

in Gemini on Friday the 30th.

So that is a day where we might
experience some clarity and really take

those, intentions and ideas from the
New Moon and start To work with them a

little bit because whenever we have a
Mercury cazimi, whenever Mercury enters

the heart of the sun and is purified
by the sun, we have an aha moment of

like, oh, it all is coming together.

I understand it now.

Or, oh, I see something that I wasn't
seeing before, but now I see it.

Or, oh, I get a message, I get
an email, I get a text, and now

I understand what was happening.

So.

Look for moments of clarity on
Friday and the days around there.

Next week, we will have some nice
aspects on Wednesday, Thursday.

So June 4th, June 5th, we'll
have Venus working with

Jupiter, which is always lovely.

Venus will be late degrees of Aries
and Jupiter is still in Gemini at

that time, late degrees of Gemini.

When the benefics talk.

It's always useful.

It's always helpful.

And uh, Thursday the fifth we'll
have Mercury connecting with Mars,

and they are in Gemini and Leo.

So both those sex tiles are occurring
in air and fire, which means that it's

gonna be amplifying and energizing
wherever you feel passionate.

So if there's something that's
making you feel a sense of passion.

If there's something that wants to
be expressed, if there's something

that you wanna take action on and
you feel very strongly about it.

Those transits on June 4th and
fifth are going to help you do that.

So I'm gonna leave it there for today.

I talked a lot.

I talked a lot of big picture stuff.

Couple quick things before I go.

I was going to be doing a Saturn
and Aries workshop on June 1st.

The last couple weeks have kind of
thrown me for a turn with lots of

twists and turns coming up, and things
I had to manage thanks to Uranus.

He really.

Threw me for a loop.

so I'm gonna be moving that Saturn
workshop further back into June.

I'll announce when that's
gonna be soon, but just make

sure you're on the email list.

If you're not, you can go
to veronica peretti.com

and you can sign up for
the email list there.

I will also be opening up some slots for.

Readings over the summer because
I know there's so much happening

and people's lives are probably
really amping up right now.

And I know you must be
like, what's going on?

How is this impacting my chart?

So.

I'm gonna open up some
readings, slots as well.

So just make sure you are on
the email list so that you get

the updates on all those things.

And I will be back next week.

I'm not sure what day I need to
get back on a schedule over here,

but I will be back next week and we
will talk about Venus moving into

Taurus, which will happen on June.

Sixth and we will mostly be talking
about Jupiter moving into cancer,

which will happen on June 9th.

So stay tuned for that.

And if you're still listening and you
love the podcast, please send this podcast

to a friend who might appreciate it.

That is the best way to help us grow.

And.

Find more people who are interested
in tuning into the cosmic energy.

Okay, I will talk to you next week.

Bye.
